NASCAR EVENT

On Friday March 8th, NASCAR fans throughout Las Vegas waited in line in front of TAG Heuer boutique for hours hoping to possibly catch a glimpse or take a picture of two of the most recognized and distinguished drivers in the game, Denny Hamlin and Nelson Piquet Jr. As the drivers walked up to TAG around 6:30pm the crowd started cheering and chanting their names knowing that the moment was growing closer for them to finally come face to face with two of their favorite athletes.

Denny and Nelson mingled and signed autographs for guest and media members before having to leave to get ready for the big race the following morning.

The Shops at Crystals would like to thank Denny Hamlin and Nelson Piquet Jr. for coming out and good luck in the rest of the season.

BOTTEGA VENETA

Discretion, quality and craftsmanship – three distinct qualities that are a perfect example of the Bottega Veneta Exhibit inside The Shops at Crystals. Designed by Tomas Maier and inspired by Las Vegas’ desert landscape, Bottega Veneta showcases six of the brands most talked about handbags; all hand woven in Italy with their own unique style and presence.

Veneta: Inspired by the shape of the timeless Hobo bag.

Seamless Tote: Provides a boxy facet with no internal structure, however holds its shape due to a seamless construction and wide length clasp.

Roma: Features exquisite stich detail surrounding the perimeter providing a 3D dimensional effect that leaves each bag with a unique pattern.

Campana: Understatedly feminine Campana bag maintains delicate appeal and can be transformed perfectly day to evening.

Bucket: A casual style Friday picnic, Sunday store weekend bag.

Cabat: Timeless staple Bottega brand with four layers of leather. It takes two people three days to make. Very light, yet large and spacious.

This display will be located on the second level of The Shops at Crystals, now thru April 8th between Todd English P.U.B and Harry Winston.

Art
The Contemporary Nude Spire Series

Richard MacDonald has always been an artist who soaks up the experiences of everyday life through intense observation, and then transform that raw material into works of art that reflect internal states of being, not simply the physical. The Contemporary Nude Spires is a newly released series of sculptures that takes the artist a step further along the path of re-envisioning the role of the figure in contemporary art. Contemporary both in style and concept, the self-contained nature of the individual figures makes a statement about independence and strength: elements Richard MacDonald never overlooks in his understanding of the female identity. This series highlights an interesting paradox: they work as purely abstract shapes, while being completely figurative and representative in nature.

For the past three decades Richard MacDonald has been making an important and unique contribution to contemporary sculpture. In the course of his career he has gathered a broad following of dedicated and enthusiastic collectors, and garnered many prestigious awards, honors, and significant public commissions across the globe.  His body of work stands apart as distinctive and unique.

We invite you to visit The Art of Richard MacDonald Fine Art Gallery at Gallery Row to view this and other exciting new works by Richard MacDonald.
